Neighborhood Works, Inc. (NWI) is a 501c3 non-profit organization, structured as a Community Housing Development Organization, or CHDO. NWI seeks to create individual and community empowerment opportunities through affordable and sustainable home ownership and quality affordable rental housing. Neighborhood Works, Inc., was incorporated in 2003, and since 2004, is granted CHDO status by the Participating Jurisdiction, the State of Georgia. In 2010 NWI renewed it’s CHDO status with DeKalb County. NWI has an eight county service area that includes the metro Atlanta counties. NWI has a 5-member board of directors reflecting the community and skill sets necessary to build a successful organization.
